Gary McEntire is a licensed and ordained minister who lives in Marietta, GA. He studied Church Administration at Berry College, received a Master of Divinity degree from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Liberty University.

Gary spent 12 years in the IT field where he was a Microsoft Word Escalation Engineer, a Help Desk Analyst, a Network Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. While doing all of this, Gary also served as an interim pastor, and has filled various youth ministry roles. In 2009, Gary left the IT field to take a full-time youth pastor position, which he filled for 10 years. Over the last 3 years, Gary has served as the Director of IT and Digital Ministries for Dunwoody Baptist Church.

Gary enjoys preaching, teaching, and hosting podcasts. He is a big fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, and is a huge fan of marching bands and drum and bugle corps (particularly Carolina Crown, Phantom Regiment, and the Troopers). He has been married for 34 years, and has an adult son and daughter-in-law.

Gary can also be somewhat wordy...

GARYNET.COM was started in the early 2000s when Gary was working with the student ministry at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Marietta, GA.

It began when Gary was simply trying to learn how to use Microsoft Frontpage to create a website. Its first iteration became a pre-Facebook website where students could post pictures, jokes, movie quotes, and a lot of other stuff (actually, they had to submit them to Gary and he would post them himself).

The site has changed a lot since those early days (but so has Gary). It has a lot of the original material, but is now primarily a blog for Gary's thoughts on the Bible and other things running through his head.
